History

Cassie spent a good part of her childhood skipping, running and dancing around the courtyard at her church, so it was only natural that the parents started asking her to teach their daughters to dance. After some inspiration from her mom, Nancy, she began teaching dance on Wednesday afternoons in the youth room at Bible Fellowship Church. About 50 girls would show up weekly to dance and play. When summer hit, and Cassie's schedule became full with cheerleading, camps, and the beach, she decided to make a week long summer dance camp and take the rest of the summer off.

After two years at BFC, camp moved to Cassie's parents' house in Santa Paula. Three years passed before the city decided camp had outgrown the neighborhood, so Steckel Park in Santa Paula became its new home. In 2005, Cassie's Dance Camp had to take a back seat to Cassie's wedding. Camp returned from hiatus in 2006 and made its debut at The Orchard at the Ranch. For the last three years Community Bible Church has been the location of camp, and this year they are graciously hosting again.

2011 will be the fourteenth year of Cassie's Dance Camp, and promises to be better than ever!
